Why do we do international outreach?
Fenton Robotics started doing international outreach when, several years ago, we were contacted by a team from Libya. They found our team through YouTube and reached out for some assistance with getting their robot started. They were an all-girl team in Benghazi Libya and they weren’t allowed to do their work out in the open. They needed help with their robot. Our team connected with them and helped them to get started with video chats.

This kind of assistance is a fantastic way to provide help to teams in countries that may not have as much local support as we do. It’s a great way to connect with teams and learn more about how they are approaching robotics and other cultures. FRC has made this one of our outreach priorities ever since that year.
